Ingredients –
– 2 c. graham or whole-wheat flour
– 1/2 c. all -purpose flour
– 2 t. baking soda
– 1 t. salt
– 1/2 c. molasses
– 2 c. buttermilk
– 1 c. raisins
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Spoon into three well greased (20-oz or larger) tin cans. Let stand 1/2 hour. Bake at 350 F for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool five minutes after removing from oven. Using pot holders cut bottom from cans and remove loaves, then cool on rack. Makes three loaves.
