Breakfast Popover (German Baby)

Ingredients –

– 8 T. unsalted butter
– 1/2 c. milk
– 1/2 c. flour
– 2 eggs
– 2 lemons Powdered Sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 475 F.
  2. Place butter in a heavy 10-inch oven-proof skillet. Melt butter in oven; when melted, carefully remove skillet from oven.
  3. In a bowl, combine milk, flour and eggs – mix just enough to blend. Add mixture to hot butter in the skillet; return to oven and bake for 12 min., or until it has puffed up.
  4. Remove puffed popover from oven to a platter. Sprinkle with juice from lemon halves and dust with powdered sugar.
  5. Cut into serving-size pieces. Serves 4.
