This recipe was one Mom used to make when we are growing up. It Is simple to make, warm and hearty to eat!
Ingredients –
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 1-16 oz. pork and beans
– 1 can condensed tomato soup (10 3/4 oz.)
– 1 tsp. chili powder
– 1/2 tsp paprika
– 1 tsp. garlic powder
– 1 can refrigerated biscuits
– 1 cup (4oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
In large fry pan, brown ground beef and onion; drain. Stir in beans, soup and seasoning, bring to a boil Spoon hot meat mixture into ungreased 9-inch baking pan or 2 quart casserole. Arrange biscuits over hot meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375 F for 25 to 30 minutes, until biscuits are golden brown and meat mixture is bubbly. Yields 4 – 5 servings. (You may wish to add another can of beans to make the recipe go further.)
