Aunt Marti made this one Easter, and it has become a tradition for our family ever since. I’ve added mandarin oranges to the salad. It is a beautiful color and perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.
Ingredients –
– 1 small pkg. strawberry gelatin (you may use sugar free)
– 1 small pkg.- cherry gelatin (you may use sugar free)
– 1 can whole cranberry sauce
– 1 can crushed pineapple
– 1 pkg. whole frozen strawberries, quartered
– 1/4 c. chopped pecans
– 1 large can mandarin oranges
Dissolve gelatins with 1c. boiling water. Add 1c. cold water after Jello is dissolved. Add cranberries, pineapple, nuts, strawberries and mandarin oranges. Put in a glass container that shows the salad’s beautiful color and refrigerate overnight.
